Chef Michael Angeloni
Partner & Executive Chef, Restaurant Lucie
A new chapter.
The same belief in feeding people well.
Restaurant Lucie's kitchen is led by Chef Michael Angeloni — a Toronto chef of Italian and Polish heritage, and one of the city's most respected culinary voices.
Angeloni built his name in the kitchens that defined modern Toronto dining — L'Unita, Splendido, The Black Hoof, Grand Electric — before leading Notte Ristorante (formerly Amano Trattoria) and The Berczy Tavern, which was named one of the city's twenty best restaurants within two years of opening.
His cooking is defined by craft you can taste: handmade pasta, whole-animal butchery, an obsession with sourcing, and the small details that make a dining room feel like somewhere worth returning to. At Lucie, that craft turns to French technique — the same exacting standard, expressed through a different language.
Lucie is the third restaurant Chef Michael has built with this team — after The Berczy Tavern and Notte Ristorante — and the only one named for a grandmother. He cooked here in February 2025 for La Collab No. 8, the evening French gastronomy met Italian tradition.
